TRAINING Schedule
Training will take place on
Monday & Wednesday evenings from August 15th (with the exception of the Bank Holiday on 29th August). There will be a warm up game on 3rd September, with the opening 1st XV league fixture on 10th September and training will revert to Wednesday evening at 7pm thereafter.
It will take the same format as previous years’ with some initial fitness work,
followed by drills and skills work, Simon Dear (x Ba Ba’s and Eng A) will
continue as the Club Coach next Season with support from Ivan Torpey and Giles Simons (aka The Silver Fox). We know from results last year that with full commitment to training we
can further improve our playing standard and style. 1st XV players will be
expected to attend, however this is open to all sides and players so make use of
it.

Season Training Schedule
This brief document outlines a simple approach to personal training in addition
to scheduled Wednesday evening sessions at Old Blues. If it is followed
properly, improvements to physical fitness will be very apparent. We all lead
busy lives and time to train is often not high on the agenda, but with a little
organisation and planning, it should not be too difficult to accommodate the
suggested programme.
